Artemisia japonica (Otokoyomogi) is a perennial herb native to Afghanistan, Assam, China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, and 20 more regions. It grows in grasslands, riverbanks, coastal areas. Imported field notes describe plants reaching 40–140 cm. The lower leaves are divided into three feather-like sections, while the middle leaves are elliptical. The tip of the flower head becomes narrow.
