Artemisia monophylla (Hitotsuba Yomogi) is a perennial herb native to Japan. It grows in subalpine zone. Imported field notes describe plants reaching 70–100 cm. The leaves have an overall atmosphere similar to willow, hence the synonym Yanagi Yomogi. The flower heads are almost stalkless, attached directly to the leaf base.
