Artemisia rubripes (Yabu Yomogi) is a perennial herb native to Amur, China North-Central, China South-Central, China Southeast, East European Russia, and 8 more regions. It grows in grasslands in mountainous areas. Imported field notes describe plants reaching 100–200 cm. Beautiful, maple-like, five-pointed shape with deeply divided lobes, resembling the form of a flame. The flower stalk is relatively short, and the involucre is covered with thin woolly hairs, giving it a slightly glossy appearance.
